Hello

Although the error message appeared in following is related to Autodesk Design Review, potentially a same error could turn up when starting to uninstall any Autodesk Product.

Moreover, Error 1905 is a Microsoft Windows error message and its incidence is rare.

This trouble could potentially happen when trying to uninstall any software item.

Error 1905 when uninstalling Autodesk Design Review

Hello Nadia,

This kind of problem occur in most cases when you are performing an uninstallation of any software product.

It is a permission issue that blocks  the file from being removed during installation.

The following steps should help you fix the issue:

  • You will need to make sure that you have got  administrator rights on the machine that you are using.
  • After that you will type Regedit at the Windows Command line.
  • Go to the registry and then find  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAUTODESK<product name>
  • Locate the folder or file displayed in the error message and then select the file.
  • Go to the Edit menu and then select Permissions.
  • Set the permissions to Full Control.
