Hello everyone,

I have encountered an error as shown in the image below in using the TurboTax 2010. I am using Windows XP. I am looking forward to calculate my income tax return. I am trying to use TurboTax to "get a jump start” to my 2012 and extract the last year’s tax return but this message pops up. Can someone please help in fixing this problem?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure if there is an incompatibility issue here since TurboTax supports Windows XP. I tried visiting its official web site so I could find out the system requirements of the program. But the site doesn’t say anything about the application’s system specifications. This program supports Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. But since the web site didn’t say anything about the specific version of the operating systems that the program requires or is compatible with and so with this information, I assume that it supports all versions of Windows and Mac OS X regardless of what Service Pack it is using in Windows.

Since you are already using the program when the error appeared, try doing another clean installation of the program. Uninstall it from your machine then restart the system for a much fresher environment. After booting the system, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. After this, install the application again and then try using it afterwards.
