Hello Derrick,

It seems like you are running a Kaspersky installer package that is not supported with the version of the operating system you have installed on your computer.

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

  • On your computer, go to System Properties and check the system specifications of your computer.
  • Check whether the operating system you have installed is a 32 bit or 64 bit.
  • After that you will need to check the Kaspersky Internet Security application and make that it matches with the system specifications of your computer.
  • If it does not, you will need to get a right version and use it for installation.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl

If Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 generated that error during install, check if you are installing it on the correct operating system. Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 is an old version and can’t be installed on Microsoft Windows 7. It only works on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium, Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows Vista.

If you are using Windows Vista when the error happened, try running the installer as administrator. Right-click on the Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 installer, point to “Run as”, then select Administrator. See if this works. If it doesn’t, install the latest version instead. Download the latest trial version from Kaspersky Internet Security. You should also install Microsoft .NET Framework 4 since it is required. Visit Microsoft .NET Framework.

Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 was the 2007 version and first release of Kaspersky Internet Security.
