Hi all,

I just downloaded my Inkling and tried installing it on my Windows XP SP3 laptop, but the installation fails. An Error 1720 that states: “There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run.

Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Custom action testAIvalue script error 2147024770, line 8”.

How do I proceed to solve this issue?

Check if the Windows Installer is up-to-date. If not, you can go to this link:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483

Select your language and then click the Download button on the file that is appropriate for you.

One possible reason could be your downloaded installer must be corrupted or some required files are unavailable with the package.

Download the package again and try to install. If it doesn't work either try to install it to another computer then if the package is corrupted that installation also should fail.

Try out the windows installation package from the following link. Link is directly from the Microsoft web site.
