I always receive files created from Microsoft Office 2007, so I decided to remove my Microsoft Office 2003, it was remove successfully, but when I am on the process of installing Microsoft Office 2007, it was not successful, an error occurred, the error message pointing that the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.

Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

What I did first is to restart my computer, because I haven't restarted the computer after the uninstall of Microsoft office 2003, when the computer booted from windows, I again try to re install Microsoft Office 2007, but same error happens, I could not blame on the installer since it was used a while ago to install and its done successfully.

Asking for help on my issue.

Hi there Martyables,

To solve the error you are facing, you can follow the procedure listed as follows:

1.  Click on the Start Menu and Go To All programs> Accessories> and then click on Run

2.  Click the Run dialog box type "msiexec /unregserver" without the quotes and then click ok

3.  Again Go To All programs> Accessories> and then click on Run and type "msiexec /regserver" without the quotes and click ok.

Save any work that you need to and then Restart the computer. After restart rerun your office 2007 installation. Hopefully it will work as expected now!

Best of Luck!
