Can some one help me on how to resolve this Error 1604 while restoring my iPad directly in iTunes? Any step-by-step procedure on how to resolve my problem?

Error 1604 in iTunes is a type of error which is often related to USB Timing. According to Apple, you may plug directly your USB Data Cable on your other USB port on your computer. If problem still persists using USB isolation troubleshooting, you may follow the procedures below using aknown-good computer .

Here is the step-by-step procedure on how to resolve Error 1604:

1. Connect your device to iTunes. Make sure that the device is in recovery mode. However, if it's not in Recovery mode, put in Recovery mode, check URL (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263).

2. Restore and kindly wait for the error to be prompt.

3. When error prompted, kindly click OK.

4. Kindly close and reopen iTunes while the unit/device remains connected to the computer.

5. After step #4, the device should be recognized in Recovery mode state.

6. Lastly, kindly try to restore again the device.

Try the following steps below:

1. Ensure that your iPad is disconnected from your computer and iTunes is not running.

2. For Mac user: locate this folder Go to folder C:Documents and Settings<username>Application DataApple ComputeriTunesiPhone Software Updates.Cut and paste the files in there on your desktop.

3. Open your iTunes and put your iPad in recovery mode.

4. Continue with restoring while iTunes will download the update.

If the above steps did not work, try to update your iTunes to the latest version. And ensure that your OS is up to date. Try to disconnect also other USB devices and check your security settings. And then restart your computer again.
