After installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 when I try to launch it, an error message pops up on my monitor’s screen saying “error 16”. And after that, Adobe installer warns to reinstall it.

Please help me solve this issue, for I know not how to fix it, any which way I tried.

Hi Orchid,

First you check the configurations you need to install the Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Then you check your DVD. Check whether it is Original or Copied one…

Because if it is a copied DVD, then some files can be erased.

As you said you are getting your problem after you try to launch Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Sometimes from a copied DVD you can run the Set up. But after installing it you are getting some errors.

If the first solution is not worked, try this one also.

First you uninstall your already installed Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Then change your DVD WR or Rom and install it again.

Hello orchid,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

  • Go to Start > Computer > Organize > Folder And Search Options, and then click the View tab.
  • After that go to Advanced Settings section, and then uncheck the Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended) option and click OK.
  • After that go to Program FilesCommon FilesAdobe, and then right-click the Adobe PCD folder and choose Properties.
  • Go to the Attributes section and then uncheck Read-Only, click Apply, and then click OK.
  • After that go to the Security tab and then ensure that Administrators and System are listed and permissions for security are set to Full Control.

Regards,

Nicke
