I just have MS Visio installed with the necessary Add-ons to help open AutoCad in MSVisio. However, when I tried to open an AutoCad file, I get this error:
Error 1415: Visio is unable to edit the Unknown object.
What can I do to solve this problem? Did I missed some things?

These messages appear when you have chosen custom installation. Don’t worry there is a solution.
If you want to see and work with your inserted object from Auto CAD into Microsoft Visio you have to install CAD drawing Component. Without this you can’t go on. SO you need to do just simple steps to perform it. You have to run Microsoft Visio mod for repair/ maintenance dialog box. You can run it from Control Panel > add or remove programs. After that click on add/remove features.
After that you need to add Add-on for CAD Drawing. Run it and Install it.
The problem will be solved.
