Error 1308 during installation of Business Contact Manager for MS Outlook

I am facing an "error 1308" during trying to install BCM – Business Contact Manager 2007.

We work with a hosted exchange along with Apptix. They provide Outlook 2007 that is also licensed for BCM, but installation files are not provided. I made a copy of BCM 2007 and I have failed to install it and the log files are following:

MSI (s) (1C:74) [08:22:44:519]: Product: Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 — Error 1308. Source file not found:

D:BCMGlobalAssemblyCacheMicrosoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.ISVDeployment.MAPIProperties.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Error 1308.Source file not found: D:BCMGlobalAssemblyCache

We are using Windows XP, SP3. I also copied the install files to the local drive and fixed permissions over the file and folder, but the output was the same error message.

Please help me with a solution. Thanks.

Only BCM Version 3 will work with Outlook 2007. Check it out BCM version. Verify that .NET 1.1 and 2.0 are installed?

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Then check for "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0". If not found, please try to install it. You can download it from below link:

Then Install your desire application for your systems.

Hello there,

The problem could be the version of BCM which you are using is not compatible with Outlook 2007. Only the version 3 of BCM works with outlook 2007 so please check the version first. You also need check and verify that if .NET 1.1 and 2.0 are installed in your PC. If you want to check then go to start menu and go to control panel and Add/Remove programs and if you do not find Microsoft.NET framework not installed then you have to download it. You can download this framework from the following link

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22

I hope this helps.
