Hi expert,

When I try to obtain a license remotely for a network licensed AutoCAD product from the license server this is the error that I have. I have the full bought program with a valid license and I don’t know why I cannot activate it. Can anyone help me please ? Is there another way to obtain a license ?

Thank you !

A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manage. Try again. If you are still unable to access a license, contact your system administrator. Error [1200.5-96]

It sounds like a problem in your network if you are connected to the internet via local area network. If you have no problem using AutoCAD and it is only the license that has an issue, try first restarting the computer. Close the application and restart the computer. Open AutoCAD and try requesting for the license again.

If the same error appeared, check if your computer is still connected to the internet. If your computer is connected to a local area network to connect to the internet, check if the network cable at the back of the CPU is still connected properly. Disconnect the cable and then connect it back. After this, try it again and see if it works.

If it doesn’t work, verify your internet connection with your web browser. Open any website with your web browser. If the connection is fine and you are still getting that error, check the network settings of the program. If your connection uses proxy, add the proxy settings in AutoCAD. If you are not using any proxy, make sure no proxy is set in the program.

If nothing has changed, try reinstalling AutoCAD. It could be an installation issue.
