Error 1068 on running Malwarebytes

Hello There,

I experienced a Security Shield attack recently. My computer fixed most of its own issues except for this pesky error.

I downloaded Malware Bytes to deal with it because a friend of mine suggested it; however, when I try to run protection module, this (posted) error message appears. I experienced the same thing when I tried to use avast! real time protection instead. I’m thinking there’s malware in my unit that is disabling protection.

What should I do?

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Your computer was probably infected with a rootkit, viruses like these are almost impossible to find and remove. Your best course of action right now is to start backing up your important files and applications, then reformat your drive and make a fresh installation of your operating system.
