Error 1053: Exchange System Attendant service could not start

Hello,

Microsoft Exchange 2000 System Attendant service will not respond on my computer. I get this error:

Error 1053: "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

I placed different accounts to the user directory, but failed. I found out that after clicking other problems, it replicated my Exchange 2000 server and it acted as a partner for my domain.

This may be a problem. Suggestion would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks.

For the following error do these steps:

1. In the default Users container move the following groups :

a. Exchange Enterprise Servers.

b. Exchange Services.

c. Exchange Domain Servers.

2. Must restart the System Attendant service.

Hope following these steps it resolving Exchange Attendant service and respond it correctly.

Still facing same problem, that means Exchange Server is corrupted. For repairing the corrupt or damaged Exchange Server database file you can use with help of an inbuilt 'eseutil/p' command.

Command may be not worked. In this situation you can restore it from back up file. If your backup file is unavailable then use third party Exchange Server Recovery.
