Error 0x80400005 when backing up my Nokia 6680

Hi,

I have owned a 6680 a couple of years now but have never succeeded to run the backup operation.
 
My PC is at the time running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3 (had exactly the same problem with SP 2).
 
Whenever I try to run the backup operation I just keep getting the following error message:
 
"Nokia Content Copier – A fatal error occurred during the backup. Error code: 0x80400005"
 
I have searched everywhere for a solution to this 0x80400005 error but it seems very hard to find.
 
I have the latest PC Suite Software, version 6.86.9.3. Now I hope that someone out there can help me.

Hi,

Follow these steps you can solve your problem.

Change your phone profile mode to ‘General’ and select ‘Manage’ from ‘Tools’. and select uninstall PC Suite support from your phone, again you need to install the PC Suite support by using Nokia PC Suite computer programme.

After finishing the installation please restart your phone and try backup again.

Note: Please leave your phone on ‘General’ profile mode while doing the backup.
