Error 0x800CCC0B in Outlook Express

I received an error message in Outlook Express while I was sending emails. The error is "Unknown error 0x800CCC0B". I can't get rid of this one. The system works fine but the error message is appearing simultaneously as I work on Outlook. Can someone please help me?

Hi,

This is one of the most common problem faced by the outlook users, and fortunately one of the relatively easily solved.

Actually this problem starts when you try to send a mail using POP3 account, but your mail server requires the authentication SSL security. Like Gmail etc

To address this issue, please open  outlook express,  and navigate to tools – accounts

Now click on your account and click on properties

On the top, click on the tab marked “server”

Locate a box along with the notation “My server requires authentication”, check mark this box

Press OK

 

Now close outlook express and then again start outlook express, and send a new message

The problem should be resolved
