I've been trying to install apps on my Windows 8.1 through the Windows Store. However, whenever I attempt to do it, it is throwing an error and I was unable to install. I could not even upgrade apps since this same error is always appearing. What can I do to fix this? Please help me.

Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code: 0x800700c1

Try again     Cancel install

Since you are using the newest version of Microsoft Windows, remember that there are not so much programs that support it. Before installing the program always make sure to check the system requirements to verify your system if it is compatible. Certainly, the Flipboard app is designed only to run on Microsoft Windows 8.1 and will not run on Microsoft Windows 8.

The app supports both 32-bit and 64-bit processor architectures. There are not many users that have the same problem with Flipboard maybe because Windows 8.1 has really very few users. If there are other programs running when you run the installer, try closing them and run the installer again. If this didn’t work, restart your computer and run the Disk Cleanup.

Swipe then go to Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then double-click Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” and other boxes you wish to clean, click OK, and then click “Delete files”. After that, restart your computer and install Flipboard again. Make sure you are really using Windows 8.1 because if it is Windows 8, you need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 because the app will really not work.
