Error 0x00000705: Operation could not be completed error when joining domain

Hello all

I have installed windows 7 on 3 of my PCs and everything is functioning well but just as I want to join it to the domain, I am stuck. On every reboot or log off I get an error.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

Operation could not be complete (error 0x00000705)

The message states:

Printers

Operation could not be complete (error 0x00000705). Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver. Contact your administration for help locating and installing a suitable driver

I have not yet even started adding printers, then why am I getting this error. It appears on my desktop and then when I press ok, it disappears. Later I can easily add printers and print without any trouble. I don’t know why this error is showing up again and again.

If anyone has any idea, please do let me know how to fix the issue?

Hi Jordon,

This kind of problem happens when your system runs in a compatibility mode and the installation choose the wrong driver. You have to make it sure that the system is not running in any compatibility mode and now you can uninstall the driver and then again try installing. We found this types of problem mainly in the compatibility running pc because it fail to choose the right driver as well. Hope it helps you. Good luck.
