Hi,

The problem is with my Photoshop CS4 running on my Windows XP Operating System.

It is throwing an error message regarding application error.

It indicates, "The instruction at "0x696336ab referenced memory at "0x00000080".

The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

Click on CANCEL to debug the program".

What does it mean?

Have you any idea?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This problem occurs mostly when a program is unable to load and access random access memory.

When a software loads, it needs to load all the temporary files to RAM. This probably happens when you tries to modify the software to make it legal. Personally, I have experienced this problem. Try reinstalling the software.

Additional help

Please try and install an older version of Photoshop.

Try to use the registry cleaner before reinstalling the software.

Hi Harvey Logan

It is not problem of Photoshop CS4. It is the problem of your hardware, I think RAM (Random Access Memory).

Reason 1: You run many programs at the same time, and you do not have enough RAM to fulfill all programs need. Solution: close some programs that not necessary.

Reason 2: Your RAM may get some problem. Solution: remove it, then attach again (remember power off before remove)

Reason 3: Your operating system has problem. Solution: reinstall operating system.

If you try many solutions, but it still gets error, I think you should call technician for helps.

Hope this helps
