My Epson XP-410 Printer which is now a month old can nolonger print in black color after having cleaned the print head. This is after the become faint and discolored. To clean it, I used a soft clean wet piece of cotton wool to wipe off the print head. Howeever, immediately after having done that, I realized that the printer can nolonger print in black any more. What could have resulted in this? Is there a way to fix this without purchasing another cartridge? Please help me fix this issue

Hello,
How are you doing? Hope you are fine.

Have you tried changing the settings for my Epson XP-410 and selected "black/grayscale" in both the Main and Advanced panels.

If still the same have you tried cleaning it with a cleaning unit as most cases the cartridge head will be clogged.
Still the same just take the black- cartridge out and put it back in and make sure that all the cartridges are full.

Note: To keep the print head clear and ready to print, the printer uses a small amount of ink from all the cartridges whenever it prints. Even if you select Black/Grayscale or Grayscale, some color ink is still being used. Black/Grayscale or Grayscale is not recommended for printing black-and-white photos.
