Hello, I am here to find a solution about my problem. Recently i have brought one Epson Workforce WF- 2540 printer. It was a nice printer and it's software was so awesome. But when I last update my anti- virus, it finds my printers software as a virus and it quarantines it. Even if I report that as a false positive. Can anyone help me?

Though it happens very rare to me but it is possible for an antivirus to incorrectly treat a healthy file as infected or malicious. If you installed your printer software using the setup CD that ships with the printer, I’m not sure the installer is infected. I haven’t seen an Epson driver or software from a CD that is infected and I don’t think the manufacturer will ship a program that is infected.

They always make sure that the software they include with their product is one hundred percent [100%] clean. If you need to download the driver to reinstall your printer software, visit Epson WorkForce WF-2540 All-in-One Printer. It provides different downloads for your printer. In case your antivirus still treats the downloaded driver as infected, try excluding the printer software from the antivirus real-time scan.

After this, your antivirus will stop treating your printer software as infected and will no longer quarantine its files.
