Hello,

I installed this software  to make a reusable Epson on my laptop with Vista. It starts at every boot and I'd like to get rid of it, yet I uninstalled the software from my computer, when I search it says "file not found".

I can not get rid of it. Help me.

Thank you very much.

Hi there,

It seems that when you uninstall the software, the uninstaller didn't remove it from your startup. To remove it manually, you should find the start up item and delete it yourself. There are several possibilities:

ONE

  • Go to Start > All Programs > Startup.
  • Look if there's an item with the same name as the missing file, delete it.
  • If you can't find the file in this step, try method TWO.

TWO

  • Go to Start > type "msconfig" > Press ENTER.
  • On the tab Startup, uncheck the one with the same name as the missing file. If, however, the entry isn't found here, try method THREE.

THREE

  • Go to Start > type "regedit' > Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows >CurrentVersion > Run
  • Find the missing file and delete it.
  • Now, restart your computer. I hope the message isn't there anymore 🙂
