Good day to all,

I am having all sorts of trouble with my Adobe Flash player. It started with not playing embedded videos. My system almost breaks down because of flash elements.

Hi,

The problem you are facing is because due to some reason Adobe Flash Player was blocked. You have to unblock it in order to overcome the problem.

1. Go to Internet options in your computer. You can do this either by selecting internet options in Control Panel or by pressing Ctrl+T in Internet Explorer.

2. Now, check whether Adobe Systems is under trusted sites or restricted sites. If it is under restricted sites, change it to trusted site.

This should work for your problem. If it doesn't work then try a full uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Flash Player by downloading it from the internet.

The full error reads, “This publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine”. If you receive this error, it means Windows considers the program to be unsafe. In Windows XP, I don’t see this or encounter a program being blocked by Windows. But when I shifted to Windows 7, I noticed that all the programs I download from the internet are blocked.

I don’t see this exact message when I run the program maybe because I disabled User Account Control but in the file’s properties, there is the “Unblock” button. I can run the program without seeing any error but it’s unusual to see that “Unblock” button in the file’s properties.

Anyway, if you receive that message when running an installer like the Adobe Flash Player installer, try disabling UAC on your computer. Click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “User Accounts”. On the next screen, click “Change User Account Control settings”. In “User Account Control Settings” window, move the slider all the way down to “Never notify” then click “OK”. Run the program again then see if it works.

Click the Unblock button
Click the Unblock button

If this doesn’t work, restart the computer then try again. If this doesn’t work, right-click the file and select “Properties”. In the “Properties” dialog, in “General” tab, click “Unblock” at the bottom then click “OK”. This should fix the problem.
