When I open my e mail I get a message that says I am not connected. If I close the email then my mail comes up. I am told it has something to do with Plaxo. How do I fix it? I am very inexperienced with my computer

HI,

From the details provided, I believe you have some issue which you have to deal with your system memory and processes running at the same time.

If you could let us know what is the OS platform you are using and what is your current e-mail client, it will help me to provide you with a solution which you can resolve the matter fast.

thanks

That problem is probably with your email client if you are using an email client instead of a web browser. If you are using an email client, try to check your internet connection if it is working. If your computer is connected to a router, try resetting the router.

If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about 10 to 20 seconds. Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on. When the router is ready, open your web browser and visit a website.

Try clicking some links to verify your connection is working. After this, try running the email client again and see if it works. If this doesn’t work, try to uninstall and reinstall the email client. If you have Microsoft Office and you are using Microsoft Office Outlook as your email client, try disabling this feature in Microsoft Office. Click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “Add or Remove Programs”.

On the next screen, scroll down and select Microsoft Office then click “Change”. On the next screen, make sure “Add or Remove Features” is selected then click “Continue”. In the Installation Options screen, set Microsoft Office Outlook to “Not Available” then click “Continue”. Follow the succeeding instructions. After this, Microsoft Office Outlook should be removed.

To install it back, repeat the same steps then set Microsoft Office Outlook to “Run from My Computer”. See if this works. If this doesn’t work, try logging in to your email account with a web browser to see if you can access your messages. If this works, try to delete your account in Microsoft Office Outlook then create a new account. See if this works.
