Email account chopped on blackberry 9800

Hello experts,

I think my Email accounts are being accessed by some Intruders for the past days. I tried to access them from my 2 different computers. One from my Home PC and the other one is from my Office PC. These are Hotmail and Yahoo accounts. I also tried to set it up on my BlackBerry Torch 9800. When I first noticed that my email was infiltrated, I got some information from my alternate email account and then I tried to reset my password in Hotmail and then I got an email from my BB device.

So, if I attempt to reset my password in my BB 9800, it will no longer ask for the password to login to my email accounts, is this right? It happened for 3 times now and I'm not sure if its an issue with the BlackBerry RIM service of my carrier which is a Vodafone. This is because Vodafone have all the information regarding my email accounts and my password. So I can be able to login without my password?

This is not the problem with the Vodafone definitely and you need to check this out. The problem is with the blackberry mobile 9800 and you will find the error solution over there. You need to check the email settings and there you will have to set the password as not required. Insure that and the app will never ask you about the password. However, this is not a safe method and you need to insure that it asks for your password. Or else your email account is certainly not going to be safe definitely.

If you think someone is trying to break in to your email accounts, you should reset your password and use a new password that is hard to crack like use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. You can use KeePass Password Safe to generate a strong password for you.

It is a free application that you can use to save all your passwords and protect them with a password so no one else can access your passwords except you. When resetting the password in your email account, use a computer to reset the password then log out all devices that are currently logged in.

Once a new password is set, log in your devices with the new password. Also, for additional security, you should enable the “Two-step verification” security feature so any new login attempts on your account will require a text notification on your phone. This security feature is available in Facebook and Yahoo! Mail.
