I have a wireless adapter USB that I would want to reduce the transmission beacons, what would be effects to the network in terms of performance and power consumption for the wireless adapter? How can I then save on power due to connections on a wireless adapter? what is the best transmission of beacons or should I just choose the default? I want to be able to save on power when the adapter is no linking up to the network.

Hello John!

Reducing the transmission beacons for your wireless USB will not affect the transfer of data. You are just setting the device if it’s idle to be turned off or to go to standby mode. This will then save power in terms of changing the settings. It is not reducing entirely the power while downloading. It will only reduce power consumption if you’re not transferring data. Like the sleep mode principle in our computer or monitors. The default set-up is to optimize your device to its perfect working state.
