Eclipse: An Error has occurred

Hi Shaun,

If this was after a fresh installation of Eclipse, the error is happening due to something that went wrong during the installation procedure. Reinstalling Eclipse is an option.

Some other options you can try are:

  1. Run Eclipse from Start > Run > type in C:pathtoeclipseeclipse -clean . You will need to replace the path of the file in this command
  2. Deleting files. Browse to the program files [YOUR_WORKSPACE/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/]  and delete the .snap and workbench.xmi files. Do this once you have closed Eclipse.
