Hello,

I have a problem with my DVD writer/burner. It can read all the original games I bought but it doesn't read or recognize any burned media (movies, music, games…)

Also, it doesn't recognize empty CD's or DVD's.

You did not said the name of operating system you are using and burning software which you’ve used to burn the disks. But,
You can follow something written in below:

Some special programs burn the disks which will be readable to every drives (For "Home Entertainment Devices" instance). Other software burn the disks which can be recognized only through some specific drives.
You can find many solutions like this from here.

There are several factors which affect reading burned media,

If the media is burned at high burn speed your DVD will not support that media or in that case new media will not be recognized consistently.

Some super drivers also have problem reading particular brands of Medias and it also depends on the software used to burn that media. You should make sure that  software you are using currently is successfully burning the media and it can copy all kind of data you are working with.

For best results  use latest version of Mac OS and also make sure to burn the disc in the format that can be used by the operating system .

Hello,

The problem can be happened due to many reasons. It may be a problem with the interface on the rig that doesn't work.
It maybe the media is burned very high speed that DVD is failed to support your media.

You should check it & try the Nero info tool to see if it can help find what's wrong,Might just need to reinstall the driver in device manager.
