Durability of SSD hard disks compared to regular ones

I am currently looking into swapping my internal hard-drive. I am hearing about solid states for a while now but when I checked it is really limited in terms of size. The maximum size I can get for 256mb for my budget. That is really small. Is it really worth the money? I want to know the durability as well ?

Hello,

SSD hard drives are a niche product.  They would be of use to certain users such as gamers who only intend to use their machine for that purpose.  Those who are performing more critical tasks may not find that the drawbacks of SSD are acceptable.  The main problem with SSD is that it is not reliable as storage; it can only be written to a certain number of times.
