The driver is inactive or not installed properly. Please re-install DVD43

Hello experts

Without hitch, I have been running DVD43 for more than a year.

However just I changed my Hard Disc and I am re-installing every program such as, the new version of DVD43 but now I get the following error message:

"The driver is inactive or not installed properly. Please re-install DVD43 to enable the driver."

I find a small gray DVD43 sign on the bottom right of my display and it means the driver is not installed or DVD reader is not found.

Then I am Un-installing and re-installing it but same things. I need your suggestion. Please help.

Thanks.

Hello Anna,

Try the following workarounds and see if they will help you solve the problem:

  • The first workaround is to try uninstalling the DVD43, and then after that you can do a search and then purge of all occurrences of the DVD43 from your system. Once you have done that you should then try  reinstalling that latest version of DVD43 .
  • The second workaround will be to check your system and see if you have installed the Patin-Couffin Access Layer. This layer is needed for the DVD43 to work properly, and there it has to be installed. If it is missing on your computer you can get it from the following link: Patin-Couffin Access Layer

Carl
