Hi expert, I need a help. Recently I downloaded the Autodesk 3D Max 2012. To activate I don’t know my Host Name and Port number. How to Find my Host Name and Port number? Is there any specific option to find it? If you know please provide the ideas. Thank you.

You can check the Host name using the command prompt.
Go to Start menu > command prompt
In the command prompt window just type Host name and click enter.You will get the host name.
8080 is the default port number. If it doesn't work Use Netstat to find the port number.

Standalone perpetual license products or those non-subscription products purchased in 2016 or earlier can be activated manually offline. But newer versions of Autodesk products are activated automatically online. If your Autodesk product is non-subscription, try activating it offline. You can also activate offline if you are using an education license. Note: you need a valid serial number to activate manually offline.
Go to Find Serial Numbers & Product Keys to learn how to get your product’s serial number. To activate offline, first, you need to generate a request code. Disable or unplug your internet connection then launch your Autodesk product.
On the “Free Trial” screen, click “Activate”. Next, enter your serial number and product key then click “Next”. After this, select “Request an activation code using an offline method” then click “Next”.
Copy or take note of the activation information given then click “Close”. Your request code should look something like this.
Note: to request an activation code online, you need your product name, serial number, product key, and request code. Plug your computer back to the internet. Now, go to Activate Offline with Activation Code (Perpetual) then scroll down until you see “2. Request an Activation Code”. Here, click the “Get Activation Code Popup” link.
Follow the instructions then enter your contact information, serial number, email address of the purchaser or software administrator, and the request code you generated. All these are required to get an offline activation code. Copy your activation code. Now, to activate your product manually, again disconnect your computer from the internet then launch your Autodesk product. On the “Free Trial” screen, click “Activate”.
Next, enter your serial number and product key then click “Next”. On the next screen, select “I have an activation code from Autodesk” then enter the activation code you copied earlier and then click “Next” to complete the activation. You should see this screen when activating.
Note: Autodesk products operate on a Free Trial License until activated.
