I heard that direct 3D only supports windows operating systems, now I want to know if there is a way that it can support and allow cryEngine software that supports direct 3d. Because I am using a Mac operating system, anybody has the same experience with mine? Share it to me ,
Downloadable cryEngine that supports direct 3d
I’m not sure if you understand it right. The Direct3D functionality or feature is actually from your computer’s video card or graphics accelerator. Windows only enables or disables this function if it is supported by your hardware or device. Even if your program supports Direct3D function but your video card doesn’t support it, the Direct3D function is still disabled and unusable.
If you are using a Macintosh computer, you should update your video card’s driver to the latest version if it is available so that your system will be using the latest version of its graphics card’s drivers for added compatibility and improved functionality. It also decreases the chance of getting corrupted display or any unwanted and sudden display problems.
