Hello experts! Recently, I got several problems with my Internet connection at home. I regularly call my ISP for trouble ticket. There isn’t really a reliable tool that you can use to test your network’s internet connection. However, there is a way to test your network’s internet connection. Just open a web browser and enter a URL. If it doesn’t load then you don’t have an internet connection. What you can do is to turn off your internet modem as well as your wifi router (if you have any) then, turn them on again. Try it several times, if it didn’t work just call your Internet provider.

Sorry to hear about your internet. You don't really need to download a special tool to test your internet connection. In fact your Mac comes with a utility to test your internet connection.

To check if your internet is working, you can run a Ping test. Here's how to do it:

Open Applications and select Utilities

Go to Network Utility.

Click the tab labeled Ping, type the name of a website to ping. Example: www.google.com

Click Ping

If your internet connection is ok then you should be getting replies. If you get "Request timed out" then there is a problem with your connection.
