Hi! I've been using Downcast for quite sometime now, mainly due to Apple's lack of podcast management support, and a new similar app rolled out just this week. Does it have the same capabilities as Downcast? Is it worth the switch?

Hi Chris,

The recently released Apple podcast management support is not as good as down cast. I have listed 4 podcast management support software that you can get on the web.

-          Downcast: A feature you’ll find in Downcast that isn’t included in any other podcast management app is the ability to listen to a podcast while it is being downloaded.

-          iCatcher:  makes use of single finger and double-finger flick gestures that allow you to skip forwards and backwards at different intervals.

-          Instacast: has the ability to export to other podcast/utility apps. The interface is designed in such a way that all the content is displayed on one screen with three tabs to navigate to podcasts

-          Pocket Casts: able to download two episodes at the same time
