You mention about installing .Net Framework 3.5. Did it install it successfully?

  • Often times, this error: “Application encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell the Microsoft” indicates an issue with the actual application you are trying to run.
  • I suggest before you do further troubleshooting, run an Anti-virus or Anti-Spyware to check for possible virus infection.

Then we can try this process:

  1. We need to do a complete cleanup of .Net Framework. Run the .Net Cleanup Tool, which is free and downloadable. By running the cleanup tool, it would remove and clean up all and previous failure installation of .Net Framework from your system.
  2. Then try downloading .Net Framework 3.5 and run it. See if it works this time.

Hi Shabeeb,

Try following these steps:

  1. First of all, open the registry editor: Start – Run, next enter "regedt32" (without quotes).
  2. Then, navigate down to the node and keep opening each node in the hierarchy.
  3. Now right click on the node we're looking for (ServiceModel 3.0.0.0) and select Permissions.
  4. Click on Add, next enter "everyone" (no quotes) on the 'Select Users, Computers or Groups' dialog after that click OK.
  5. Back on the 'Permissions for ServiceModel 3.0.0.0' dialog select the user group Everyone, then make sure the Full Control checkbox has a tick, then click OK.

Now back to the .NET 3.0 installation.

Hope it can help you!
