I'm having a WordPress blog rather a site. I haven't used any virus or malware protection plug-in or a system. Is it possible that intruders can illegally access it? Doesn't WordPress offer a generic protection?

Yes, wordpress provides generic protection however there may be some potential issues where the protection may not be enough so that we may have to do it manually.Though you might want to consider several other process to make your wordpress more secured.

>>First of all, always update your wordpress as the security issues are updated at regular interval at wordpress.

>>always keep a secured password

>>limit access

>>always keep the backup of your website

>>also while connecting to your site SFTP encryption should be used

These are some of the process so that you can make your website more secure from the potential threats.Hope you got your answers.

If you have a WordPress blog site and you want to protect it against unauthorized access, try using a plug-in called Security-Protection. It is designed to protect WordPress sites against login, reset-password brute-force attack, and registration. The plug-in is easy to use. Just install it and it will automatically protect your site. To install the plug-in, download and install Security-Protection.

Next, activate Security-Protection in the Plugins page. The plug-in requires WordPress 3.0 and higher. It supports up to WordPress 5.0. The blocking algorithm of Security-Protection is based on two methods: “invisible js-captcha” and “invisible input trap”. The “invisible js-captcha” method is based on the idea that the user-agents of bots don’t have JavaScript.

The “invisible input trap” method, on the other hand, is based on the idea that the majority of bots will fill out inputs with name “URL” and “email”.
