I heard that the official version of Windows 8 is almost out! I can't wait to see what improvements they made to this new Windows OS. Does anyone know if there's a release preview of some sort? I want to know if it's something I'd want to get my hands on.

Does Windows 8 have a preview?

Hello Nocrej,

Here is the main feature of Windows 8 OS is its support for both x86 PCs and ARM tablets. The ARM edition of Windows 8 includes a new mode like always on, always connected designed for tablet just like the Smartphone. It can remain in standby mode without disconnecting from the internet then it will wake instantly.

The second feature is Touch-centric, tiles-based User Interface (UI) Windows 8 is layering a new animation-enable user interface. The start menu of Windows 8 is customizable through a mosaic of tiles (figure 1). Third is the ‘Charms’ ( figure 2) it is the new implementation of the traditional Windows start bar, it can also use to quickly configure setting of the application on your computer.

At last, there are many other features in Windows 8 that  you can read in this Site. But, Windows 8 OS has some requirements for the system to work well. You need to have 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (or 2GB for 64-bit), 16GB of storage (or 20GB for 64-bit), and a DirectX 9 graphics card with WDDM 1.0 support. For Metro style applications you need to have a minimum of 1024×768 screen resolution, and 1366×768 for the snap feature. If you do not have this kind of requirement the message error will appear.

Hi

Microsoft Windows 8 is the newest operating system from Microsoft. It has many more new features as compared to Windows 7. It is available as Release Preview and can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. You can get it either in 32 bit version or 64 bit version. 32 bit is 2.5 GB and 64 bit is 3.3 GB in size.
