Hi there, experts,

Does Configuration Manager support all editions of Active Directory Domain Services? Does it also support Windows Server 2008 R2? I tried looking this up in their website but I found no direct answer.

Our office wants to use the Configuration Manager but we still haven't decided because of these issues. We don't want to do a major overhaul of our system.

Thanks in advance!

Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 now supports Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system s for client installation.  Apart from branch distribution point, Configuration Manager consoles or site system roles will receive no support on the platforms that have been stated above

You must update your software, this is especially necessary if you have different sites configured to operate in mode :- native mode, or if you are using the Network Access Protection feature:

(Update rollup for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 to add support for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 clients)

That solves the problem 🙂
