Hi experts,

I am using Win 7 Home Premium and trying to restore from system disk sent by the manufacturer. I did all the restore steps except updating and got the following error message at 25% completion. I click on OK and the system reboot. Do you have any idea to fix this annoying error message? Share some ideas to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

DMO GDMO Application Error unknown software exception

I think this is a very common error among players of Digimon Masters Online and it’s funny because the problem has been around since March 2012 and up until now no official fix has been released. I saw someone posting the error in March 15, 2012 and up until July 12, 2013 there are still users posting on the thread asking for a solution to the same error.

I’m not sure if you can really fix this because originally, Digimon Masters Online is set to run on Windows XP only and not on later editions. And it’s also obvious that all users complaining about the error were all using later versions of Microsoft Windows like Windows 7 or Windows 8 and not Windows XP.

To try your luck in fixing the problem since you are also using a newer edition of Microsoft Windows not Windows XP, visit first Digimon Masters Online and log in to your account. Once logged in, click Free Download then click Update Patch Download to download the latest patch. See image.

Install the downloaded patch and try the game. Somebody also suggested adding the “true” argument at the end of the game’s shortcut in your desktop. The newly edited shortcut should appear like this: "C:JoymaxDMOGDMO.exe" true. Find the game’s shortcut or icon in your desktop, right-click on it then select Properties. In Target field, add “true” at the end of the line and click OK. See image.
