Display Driver AMD has Stopped Working

Hi I just wanted to know if there is anything I can do to fix my display driver for AMD? I just bought a brand new personal computer and everytime I play games an error dialog box pops up saying that the display driver AMD has stopped working and has recovered. Is the problem serious? What can I do to solve this?

Or if it can just be ignored, how do I stop the dialog box from popping up again? Thanks.

There are a lot of situations when you get such error. Lets see what are these

  1. There is a slight chance that your windows is corrupted or damaged and so the display drivers that you have installed are not working properly. Reinstalling windows might solve the issue.
  2. The display drivers that you installed are out of date or are not compatible with the system. Download and install the latest updates from the manufacturer website.
  3. There is not enough power for the graphics card coming from the power supply causing it to fail and display this recovery error.
  4. I used to get these type of errors in my computer running GTX560Ti and the problem was the display drivers. I reinstalled them and the problem was fixed.
  5. If your computer is brand new, I say that you take it to the vendor from where you bought it and ask them to fix this.

That problem is with your video card particularly the video card driver. Since the problem always appears every time you play a game, you should check the system requirements of the game and make sure your computer meets those requirements. Visit the website where you downloaded your game and check the system requirements. If your computer falls short on the requirements, the solution is to upgrade your machine.

If this is not an option, try updating your video card driver. For AMD video cards, go to AMD Graphics Drivers and Software. Search for your video card model and see if there is a new version available then download the update to update the version on your computer. If the problem continues, try playing a different game that is compatible with your system.
