I just updated the software on my computer and after installing the update, I got this error message about disk utility. It says that the “Disk utility has lost its connection with the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility”. I have done all the possible things, I know but still cannot do away with this error.

Help please.

First check your hardware or system to see if there are serious problems with Disk Warrior:

If your system and hardware is okay, then it is a problem with the current iTunes version, you are running and your OS X. To repair the conflict you should:

  • Move iTunes to your Desktop.
  • Click Disk Utility.
  • Find HD and Choose Library Folder .
  • Place all iTunes .pkg files in the trash except for iTunesPhoneDriver.pkg and iTunesX.pkg.
  • Empty your Trash and
  • Move iTunes back to Applications from the Desktop.

You should be able to use Disk Utility without error messages or having to move iTunes again.
