Disconnection error when using Outlook 2010

I have been using Outlook 2010 on my machine and it has been running fine until I got this message:

Task '[email protected] – Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0f) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'  I have already disable all add-ins related to Outlook but the error persists. Restarting is the only option that has worked but even it only works for a short while and then the error pops up again and I would have to restart my pc. Closing outlook, even restarting outlook doesn’t help either.  I have found supposed ‘fixes’ but it won’t last long.

I shall be very much grateful to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

The issue with the code 0x800CCC0f for Microsoft Exchange Server may occur if the bandwidth throttle in the server has been changed by the administrator or ISP. You may try the following steps to have this problem solve:

  1. Go to Start, then Programs
  2. This time, please click on Administrative Tools, then on Internet Service (IIS) Manager
  3. Right-Click “Web Sites”, then Properties
  4. This time, click on the “Performance” tab
  5. Then choose to clear the Limit Total Network Bandwidth Available For All Web Sites On This Server
  6. After that, click on “Okay”

If the instructions above did not work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Outlook 2010. This will fix any corrupted files of Microsoft Outlook and will restore its settings back to default including some of the settings that you might have customized.

If this too, does not work, try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, Norton SystemWorks, or PC Tools Performance Toolkit.

Any errors in the hard drive’s file system can make applications not work properly and some installations to go wrong.
