I am an expert here about these things and I would give you a tutorial on how will you able to disable 4G/LTE on your Motorola Android 4 smartphone. Just follow the instructions that I will give to you/ First go to the setting icon and then go to Wireless & Networks and then you have to go down and find "Mobile Networks" and then open it and please choose CDMA only and now you have adjusted your settings on your Motorola android 4 smartphone and now you will have a 3G connection only. Have a nice day and enjoy your stay here

The main cause why 4G-compatible Smartphones easily drain its battery is because of the network coverage. Since 4G Smartphones connect to a 4G network by default, when you are in an area where there is no network coverage or the 4G signal is very weak, your handset will switch automatically to 3G or any signal that is strongest in the area.

But even if this happens, your Smartphone will continue to scan the area for a 4G network and this task alone greatly consumes and drains the battery. The easiest way of disabling the 4G connection on your phone aside from going to the Settings of your handset is to install an application that will handle the on and off switching of your 4G connection.
