Hello,

I created a thread a while back, but I am having more problems. I'm starting a new one as a refresher.

I am using a NAS200, but I am having difficulty in copying files over to it.

Things I have done to try and solve it.

I logged in as administrator, have reset it several times and formatted drives,

See the screenshot:

Hello Erickson,

You might be getting that error when copying the files because of two reasons;

  • You have logged in with an account that has got limited credentials, and therefore you cannot perform actions like copying files or moving files from one destination to another. You will therefore need to restart your computer and then log in with an account that has got administrative privileges.
  • The folder you are copying the files to may be having security credentials that will not allow you to copy files to it, and therefore you will need to disable them. Right click on the folder > Click properties > Click on the security tab > Click edit and ALLOW the sharing settings if they are currently DENIED.

Regards,

Carl
