Different output in active directory import pictures

I need to import pictures in active directory. I am aware of the steps to do this and I have religiously followed the steps given and the options presented. I have also used gui methods to shrink the size of the image I am to upload. The problem is that when I upload the picture, the way it is presented in the active directory is different from the original picture. It is way smaller and cropped as compared to the original. Am I missing something with active directory import pictures rule?

Hi Bertha,

That's a good query you have asked, and I will be happy to help you with it, I think the active directory has different settings that make the photo different and smaller as you suggest. So it is a most probable cause of the resolution settings to fit to the directory.

You may try going to the settings to adjust the pixel and resolution settings to see whether that will fix the issue

If that doesn't fix the issue, then you can use another software such as AD Photo Edit Utility by going to this website; http://www.cjwdev.co.uk/Software/ADPhotoEdit/Info.html

Once you download the software, you can open it and click Install then follow the prompts they will be displayed.

Once you install the program, you can then follow these steps to start using it;

Search for the username and click edit image for the particular image you want to edit.

You will then need to choose Select new image then select the new image that you would like to have displayed.

Make the adjustments to the size and resolution of the picture and it should be in the perfect form it is meant to be.

I hope this can solve your query

Thanks
