Windows XP has more improved features unlike Windows NT. Windows XP embedded has improved operating systems features, technological platform, and tools. Other areas of improvement include the booting time, memory management, and the device drives used.
The core operating system differences between the two windows are that the windows NT has device driver rollback, parallel processing of drivers, drivers signing, optimized disk defrag mentation, throttling, and simple booting time. While the windows XP embedded has the improved core OS like remote booting, windows pre – installation environment, and the system development image. In conclusion the embedded windows XP has more advanced and improved features of the core operating system.

Windows XP Embedded, often denoted by XPe, is a componentized version of the Professional edition of Windows XP. The user has the freedom to choose from 12,000 different components available based on your application needs.
