Dictionary creator program crashes on Windows 8

I just installed the freeware Mortens Dictionary Creator program Build 7 on my desktop.  Why is it that it always crashes when I start the program?  I am on a Windows 8 OS.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

 Hi Douglas. If you have problems regarding your Mortens Dictionary Creator, you may check your firewall settings because some of the mirrors might require that you don't need to block the HTTP referrers or for some problems there might be an issue that you didn't download the Mortens Dictionary Creator properly. You can try to uninstall it and search on its own website. I hope it helps.
