I just recently formatted my Toshiba external USB drive and stored new files in it. But after two days of using it, a problem occurs. When I plug my Toshiba external USB drive on my PC, it can be detected but it is empty.
I cannot find my files anymore which I currently saved. And when I tried to copy new files to it, a message appears that I have to format my Toshiba external drive first before I can use it. Does anyone have a diagnostic tool or solution for this problem?
Diagnostic tool for my Toshiba external USB drive trouble.
You can find a diagnostic tool at this link: http://www.hgst.com/support/hard-drive-support/downloads
You can download it in a couple languages to be more comfortable. Using this tool you'll know if something is wrong with your hard drive. Be sure to have a backup of your data so you won't have loss of data. These tools are checked so you won't have any problems using it. Also on the link I provided you'll find more information about this tool so be sure to read it all.
