SmartGlass is a platform for developers to actually use it in their games. It is implied that one can use a smartphone or tablet as a joystick for Xbox 360. I'm just wondering if this is a downloadable application. What devices are compatible with Smartglass? Is it the same as the Wii U?
Later this year (Fall 2012), the Microsoft Xbox 360 users will experience a new, enjoyable, and smarter way of using their Xbox and devices at home with the unveiling of Smartglass. Smartglass is a free program and downloadable application for Windows 8 and is compatible with a wide range of common touch screen devices using any of these operating systems: Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, and of course its very own Windows. With it being an added feature to Xbox 360 may give people the thought that it is the same as Wii U. They may be similar in a way that they’re both used for lively and more realistic interactive games. However, Wii U is a hardware with a gamepad controller while Smartglass is a software that uses another device as a controller.
