Hi Friends, I am using Windows XP and I need to know about how to use Error-checking tool that will help me in detecting and repairing Disk errors, Please do the needful for providing me the step by step of using the same. Thanks
Before runing the Error Checking utility, firstly you have to close all open files and then follow these steps:
1> In the My Computer window,right-click on the hard disk that you want to search if there are broken sectors , and click Properties.
2> When Properties dialog box is open,search and click on the Tools tab.
3> Choose the Check Now button.
4> In the Check Disk dialog box,select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box,and then click Start.
5> If you found bad sectors choose to fix them with fix button.
