I'm doing a research about AdSense. I saw an issue from this site about Google Translated from here: http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/020237.html. I don't fully understand how AdSense lose money from sites like Google Translate. Could someone please explain to me in detail about this Google Translate AdSense issue?

Dear Samantha,

I visited your link and read the article. The author wants you to understand a simple thing. When you convert a web page using Google Translate, you can’t see the Google Adsense ads on the site. That is the main problem for the site author. That's all, I hope this is clear!

Thanks.

Hi,

They lose money from Google Translate because evidently Adsense doesn’t appear on a website which has been translated. For example you opened a blog written in German and you couldn’t understand it. So what you will usually do is to click the Translate button on top of the Chrome browser to translate the blog page to English so you can read it. The English version of the blog now doesn’t contain the Adsense. Now this is where Google Adsense is losing.

As I understand it, Google Adsense and Google Translate are two different associations and there seem to be no agreement between the two. Another thing, I have not read the rules and guidelines of Google Adsense but according to what I’ve read, it has also something to do with their “allowed sites” feature. This feature will instruct Google Adsense where you want your ads to show. So at times, your webpage could not identify this thus no Adsense will appear. There’s a talk that this might probably be a bug and that Google Adsense are already taking an action to correct this.

Regards,

Taylor
