I have an old Dell Latitude D630 Laptop. It became rather slow through time so I decided to reboot it. After inserting Windows to the CD Rom and started the installation,

it crashes and turned off. Now I can't even turn it on or get the installer from the CD Rom.

What can I do to fix this?

Hello Devis,

Sorry to say that there is a possibility of losing all of you data from your hard drives. That is, your hard disk is just crushed. This is caused by over heat releasing of hard disk.

Immediate repairmen may save your money from replacement of new one.

You just need to format your hard disk. Parallel connection with other drive may save your data. But the possibility is low.

Install the windows typically. At the drive selection page, delete the partitions of your hard disk. After that, you need to create new partitions. Then the installation procedure is as usual.

Thanks for your time
